The College of Family Physicians of Canada – CFPC
The AAFP and the CFPC have a bilateral reciprocal certification agreement whereby: CME/CPD activities held across the Canada – U.S. border are certified according to the nationality of the primary target audiences regardless of where the providers are located. The activities will be reviewed according to the criteria of the certifying organization.
American Osteopathic Association – AOA
CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.

- Taxes & Fees – Hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes, which currently total 14% and are subject to change. A destination marketing fee of two dollars per room night will also be applied to each individual guest folio and is subject to sales tax.
- Check-In & Check-Out – The Hotel’s check-in time is after 4:00 PM, and check-out time is 12:00 PM.
Parking – There are two options available for parking for overnight guests. Self-parking is available at the City of Charleston owned parking garage adjacent to the hotel and is currently $2.00 per hour with a maximum daily rate of $18.00 per day. Parking is based on garage availability. The day starts and ends at midnight for billing purposes. Parking is limited for over-sized vehicles and roof top carriers. Current pricing for valet services is $40 + tax per night and is billed directly to your guest room. Valet service are available at any time on the day of arrival, include unlimited in and out privileges, and are good until 11:59 PM the day of departure. At arrival, please park in the valet lane on King Street and the bellmen will unload your vehicle. Parking is unavailable for vehicles taller than 7 feet. People who would like to park a vehicle of that size, may do so in the Visitor’s Center Parking Garage located at 63 Mary St, Charleston, SC 29403.
Lodging Deposit – A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold each individual’s reservation.
Lodging Cancellations – Terms and conditions as per MCE’s room allotment agreement with conference lodging venue:
- Cancellation made 31 days or more prior to arrival: A full refund will be issued.
- Cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refunds will be issued.
- No-shows and early departures are considered a cancellation: No refunds will be issued.
All lodging cancellations must be made directly with the lodging venue. Please refer to your lodging confirmation for contact information and policies.
Register & Book Your Lodging Early! The MCE reduced room rates will be available to registered attendees up until April 7, 2025 (based on availability). Our allotment for reduced room rates may sell out before this date. We urge you to secure your lodging reservation as early as possible. Reduced rates will also be offered 3 nights pre and post-program dates (based on availability).

Taxi Service: A taxi ride from the airport to the hotel is approximately 12-miles and costs about $31 for 2 passengers (+ $14 extra charges per additional passenger). For non-metered rides make sure you agree on a fixed rate beforehand.
Shuttle Service: CHS airport downtown shuttle departs roughly every 15 minutes, and cost $14.00 per person. Advanced reservations are not necessary. The shuttle is a shared ride, so be prepared to make several stops depending on how many passengers there are. The shuttles and taxis are in front of the terminal building, outside of the baggage claim area.
