This conference is designed to provide primary care practitioners with up-to-date, evidence-based information on commonly encountered issues in Women’s Health, while suggesting pragmatic approaches to clinical management. The discussion-based format of the conference will encourage audience participation through dynamic lectures, case-based studies, and hands-on workshops. Keynote speakers will present and critically assess recent advancements and industry updates in Women’s Health with the goal of enhancing the knowledge-base and core competence of attendees. Menopausal Hormone Therapy 2020
Objectives: 1) Discuss data on the cardiovascular risks and benefits of MHT generated since the initial publication from the Women’s Health Initiative. 2) Summarize current evidence regarding the effect of MHT on breast cancer risk.3) Identify current best practices for prescribing MHT.
Evolving Guidelines for Pap and HPV Testing
Objectives: 1) Describe the natural history of HPV infection and how it relates to current screening recommendations for cervical neoplasia. 2) Identify current guidelines for frequency of Pap testing. 3) Describe the role of HPV testing in detecting cervical neoplasia.
Vaginitis: Tacking the Tough Cases
Objectives: 1) Discuss the roles for and limitations of the tests currently available for the diagnosis of vaginal infections. 2) Describe current recommendations and options for managing persistent and resistant vaginitis. 3) Identify entities other than vaginitis that may be associated with vaginal symptoms.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Simplified
Objectives: 1) Describe the proposed pathophysiology of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. 2) Identify management options for the gynecologic consequences of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: irregular menses, hirsutism, and infertility. 3) Identify management options for the metabolic effects of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

This live activity is being reviewed and will be acceptable for up to 12 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. CFPC members who complete any live CME/CPD program accredited by the AAFP for Prescribed credit can claim the equivalent number of Mainpro-M1 credits. Canadian Healthcare professionals in other specialties need to verify with their licensing board the reciprocal credit agreement with the AAFP.
American Osteopathic Association – AOA
CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.
American Academy of Physician Assistants – AAPA
AAPA accepts Category 1 CME approval from the AAFP.

Additional Room Occupants: Each extra person sharing a room will be charged an additional $35.00 per night. There will be no charge for children under the age of 18 years who share with their parents.
