Additional Lodging Information:

Resort Charge: All rooms will be charged a daily resort fee in the amount of 14% of the pre-tax amount of the daily room rate. The resort fee covers items including, but not limited to, complimentary resort transportation; two bicycles per unit for up to four hours of usage daily; fitness center usage; one hour per day of tennis court time (based on availability); one hour per day usage on either a canoe, kayak or boogie board, Wi-Fi in the Hotel Effie Sandestin, Baytowne and Linkside Conference Centers, and reservation processing services. The resort fee is not a government-imposed charge. Resort charge is subject to taxes.

Taxes: All rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes and fees in effect at time of check-in (currently 12% for accommodations and 9% taxes and fees for all other services).

Parking: Discounted parking rates will be offered to attendees that are booked within the group block at $25.00+tax for Valet (currently $32), and $15.00+tax for Self-Parking (currently $25).
Attendees driving on locally will be offered a discounted rate of $15 plus tax, per vehicle, per day for the hours of the conference on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, subject to availability (self-parking availability is extremely limited).

Check-in/Check-out times – Check in-time begins at 4:00 PM. Check-out time is at 1a:00 AM for guests staying at the Hotel Effie Resort. The bell captain can arrange to hold luggage for guests attending the program in order to avoid late check-out charges.

Lodging Deposit – Hotel Effie Sandestin requires a one night’s room deposit be received at the time of booking. Final payment of entire reservation will be charged to the credit card provided by guest seven (7) days prior to arrival.

Lodging Cancellations – Terms and conditions as per MCE’s room allotment agreement with conference lodging venue:

  • Cancellation made 31 days or more prior to arrival: A full refund will be issued.
  • Cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refunds will be issued.
  • No-shows and early departures are considered a cancellation: No refunds will be issued.
