This online live stream CME will be broadcasting from one of our in-person CME destinations. This program will be acceptable for up to 12 Prescribed credits by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Academy of Family Physicians. This program is accredited as a live activity. Recordings of the event will be provided to all registered attendees at the conclusion of the course.
This online live stream is designed to provide primary care clinicians with up-to-date, evidence-based information on commonly encountered issues in Family Medicine, Office Orthopedics, and Sports Medicine while suggesting pragmatic approaches to clinical management.
The online learning format will encourage audience participation through dynamic lectures, and case-based studies. Keynote speakers will present and critically assess recent advancements and industry updates in Primary Care, with the goal of enhancing the knowledge-base and core competence of attendees. The successful completion of this interactive program diagnosing, treating, and prescribing the most effective courses of treatment, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.

Objectives: 1) Recall the etiology, pathophysiology, and signs and symptoms of concussion 2) Utilize concussion assessment tools to assess and manage concussion 3) Determine medical clearance and return to learn and play recommendations 4) Consider when and how to interpret neuropsychological testing 5) Define second impact syndrome and its complications/significance
MSK Imaging: What to Order, When, and Why!
Objectives: 1) Consider imaging options for MSK problems 2) Determine when advanced radiographic imaging is indicated 3) Order imaging in a timely and cost-effective way
Smoking Cessation
Objectives: 1) Recognize the role of smoking in disease etiology 2) Utilize techniques to enhance the patient’s ability to stop smoking
Anemia
Objectives: 1) Develop a diagnostic strategy to ascertain the etiology of the anemia 2) Utilize the guidelines for diagnosing anemia in children and adults in terms of available testing 3) Develop a clinical approach to treating various anemias to include iron deficiency and “anemia of chronic disease”, due to infections, inflammatory diseases, chronic kidney disease (CKD), malignancies, cytokines, interferons, tumor necrosis factor (TNF), etc. 4) Describe the role of consultants in the evaluation and management of anemia

Recognition and Treatment of Depression
Objectives: 1) Explain the incidence and prevalence of anxiety and depression 2) Evaluate patients with signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression to make an accurate diagnosis 3) Prescribe appropriate medications to treat these disorders
Evaluation and Care of Common Knee Problems
Objectives: 1) Review knee anatomy and function 2) Diagnose common knee problems, including overuse, degenerative and traumatic 3) Describe common treatments for these problems

Evaluation and Care of Hand and Wrist Problems
Objectives: 1) Review the anatomy of the hand and wrist 2) Outline important history and physical findings 3) Review relevant diagnostic tests, including imaging and electrodiagnostic 4) Discuss common diagnoses and care
Obesity
Objectives: 1) State the epidemiology of obesity in America and the health risks associated with obesity 2) Assess patients who are obese and determine if they need treatment 3) Recommend and utilize the ACC/AHA/TOS Guidelines for the Management of Overweight and Obese Adults, including diet, exercise, medications, and bariatric surgery 4) Employ the Endocrinology Society Guidelines on Pharmacological Management of Obesity
Thyroid Disease
Objectives: 1) Formulate a plan for the evaluation of a patient with presumed thyroid disease 2) Interpret common lab and imaging tests in the evaluation of a patient with thyroid disease 3) Select appropriate treatment modalities, both medical and surgical, for patients with thyroid disease, according to the American Thyroid Association Guidelines
